Old Kino

Nikos Economopoulos influenced my recent experience photographing in Northern Mexico. I had the opportunity to visit locals in Old Kino where a lot of families live in poverty. Economopoulos captures poverty and exclusion in his black and white photography. I wanted to photograph the culture through composition similar to Nikos. I took candid shots and mostly focused on the homes they lived. I wanted to capture the most humble people in their poor but yet happy circumstances.
