My photos were inspired by Herbert List. I tried to capture the spontaneity of List's surrealistic style. I captured different textures and lines that made geometric shapes when black and white, similar to the way Herbert List composed his photographs.

Old Kino

Nikos Economopoulos influenced my recent experience photographing in Northern Mexico. I had the opportunity to visit locals in Old Kino where a lot of families live in poverty. Economopoulos captures poverty and exclusion in his black and white photography. I wanted to photograph the culture through composition similar to Nikos. I took candid shots and mostly focused on the homes they lived. I wanted to capture the most humble people in their poor but yet happy circumstances.
